AI voice agents: what they are and what they cost
Updated on 27 August 2026
An AI voice agent is an assistant that answers your business's phone, understands the request, takes the appointment with name and reason, and leaves it all written down for you. In Spain, in August 2026, public prices range from about €55/month to €699/month depending on minutes and features, and a good part of the market doesn't publish prices. Here's what it does, what it costs and the questions worth asking before you sign.
What it does (and what it doesn't)
It does: answer the incoming phone 24/7, introduce itself as an assistant, handle the routine (appointments, opening hours, directions), take the details and leave the conversation and the appointment on record. Anything urgent or delicate goes to a person.
It doesn't: sell for you what you don't sell, make up answers about what it doesn't know about your business, or replace the human touch in hard cases. A good agent is limited on purpose: inside its lane it resolves, outside it hands over.
What it costs in Spain (public prices, August 2026)
Among offers with published pricing: entry plans from about €55/month (few minutes), mid plans from €99 to €299/month with 500-750 minutes, and unlimited-calls plans around €199/month plus setup. Many providers don't publish prices and quote after a demo; custom agency projects are quoted separately.
At Sole Hand the agent comes INSIDE the member fee: €59/month plus VAT with 300 minutes a month included, together with the community and the rest of the tools. We publish the price because comparing without numbers isn't comparing.
The five questions before you sign
1. Where do the data and the recordings live? (they should be in Europe, with a data-processing agreement). 2. Does it identify itself as an assistant when it picks up? (the EU AI Act requires it). 3. What happens when it doesn't know? (it should hand over, not improvise). 4. What minutes are included and what does the extra minute cost? 5. Is there a lock-in? If an answer is vague, that IS your answer.
Clear questions
Do customers notice it's an AI?
Yes, because it tells them: the agent introduces itself as an assistant at the start of the call. Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires it, and it's also the honest thing to do. The conversation still feels natural.
Does it work for my sector?
It returns the most where the phone rules: garages, clinics, hair salons, restaurants, advisory firms and shops with appointments or bookings. If every one of your calls is one of a kind, the return drops.
What if my calendar fills with badly taken appointments?
The agent confirms the details before closing and you can see every conversation. The first days you check daily and adjust; after that, you glance at it like you glance at the till.
Try it on your own phone
The agent was born from a real problem in our community of business owners and comes inside the member fee: €59/month plus VAT, with 300 minutes a month and every tool that ships next. It installs in a day.
