What we keep, why, for how long, and how to ask us to delete it. Written from what the system actually does.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller is Daniel Brosed Giral, tax ID 18102130A, address Avinguda de la República Argentina 257-259, Barcelona. For anything on this page, write to hola@solehand.com.

What we keep, and nothing else

When you create the account: your email, your name and your username. And your acceptance of the terms, with the full text, the date and the IP address you accepted from. That last part is your copy and ours.

On your profile, if you fill them in: a short description, a photo, a cover image, and links to your website, Instagram or LinkedIn. All optional.

So we can help you: a phone number and a contact email, with two switches you control so the community can see them or not. If you do not turn them on, they never leave the database.

In the community: what you post, what you comment, your reactions, your direct messages and the files you attach.

About your use of the platform: what kind of action you take (signing in, posting, commenting, sending a message, reacting, opening a tool) and when. These records hold no IP address, no browser, no content of what you write and no record of who you talk to.

About payment: the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe gives us, and the state of the charge. Your card details never pass through our servers.

If you write through the form on the site: your name, your email, your phone if you leave one, and what you tell us.

Why we are allowed to keep them

To give you the service you signed up for: the account, the community and the tools. Without that data there is no service.

Because you decided so: the phone number, the contact email and the profile links are optional and you can remove them whenever you like.

Legitimate interest: keeping the service running, spotting abuse, and knowing which parts are used so we can improve them. That is why we measure the kind of action and not the content.

Legal obligation: invoicing and accounting records.

Where they are

On our own servers hosted with Hostinger in France, inside the European Union. We use no third-party analytics: usage data never leaves our servers.

Who else touches them

Hostinger: hosts the servers and delivers the email we send you.

Stripe: processes payments. They handle your card details, not us.

Cal.com: if you book a meeting with us, the appointment is handled there.

Nobody else. We do not sell or hand data to third parties, and if we ever had to hand it over by legal obligation, it would go only to whoever the law says.

For how long

Usage records are deleted after 90 days. That is not an intention: it is a task that runs and can be checked.

Your account and what is in it, for as long as you keep it open.

The evidence that you accepted the terms, and the billing records, for as long as the law requires even if you close the account.

Exactly what happens when you ask to be deleted

Deleted: your phone number and contact email, all your usage records, your notifications, the mentions others made of you, your reactions, your read markers and any request you had sent. Your photo and cover image are removed from storage. Your access disappears and the account email stops being valid.

Kept, without your name: what you wrote in the community and the files you attached to it. The reason is not convenience, it is the right one: deleting it would leave other people's conversations half missing. Your profile is left as a closed account with no name, no photo and no links.

If your business is left with nobody inside, it is deleted entirely along with everything hanging off it.

We also keep the evidence that you once accepted the terms, and your email if at some point you requested access or received an invitation: that is the proof the request existed.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how it is used, to object to a use, or to take it elsewhere. Write to hola@solehand.com and you get an answer.

If you think we got it wrong, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es). We would rather you told us first, but the right is yours.

Minors

The platform is for people running a business. It is not aimed at minors and we do not create accounts in a minor's name.

Changes

If what we do with data changes, this page changes and its date goes up. Changes that affect what you accepted when you signed up are asked again: that is why we keep the full text of every version and never edit it.
